Britive Remote MCP Server
Britive Remote MCP Server
What’s New
Britive now publishes a Remote MCP Server at your tenant hostname. Point an MCP client at it and your assistant can work with your Britive access directly — list the profiles you are eligible for, check one out, read a secret you have access to, and check the access back in.
There is nothing to install, deploy, or host. The endpoint already exists on your tenant.
What You Can Do
- List what you are eligible for — profiles, resources, and secrets, scoped to your own entitlements.
- Check out and check in — including supplying a justification or a one-time passcode when the profile requires one.
- Retrieve secrets you already have access to.
Every request is evaluated against your own Britive policies. The assistant cannot reach anything you could not reach yourself, and each action lands in the audit log attributed to you.
Not the Same as the MCP Gateway
Both shipped recently and the names are close, so it is worth separating them:
| Reaches | Hosted by | |
|---|---|---|
| Remote MCP Server | Britive itself — your access, secrets, and checkouts | Britive |
| MCP Gateway | Your tools and MCP servers, on behalf of an agent | You |
